Molly FichtnerUTSAMolly Fichtner, a rising senior at Clear Brook High School in Friendswood, has committed to play softball for UT-San Antonio.  Molly joined the Texas Aces Gold in the fall of 2007.  She is primarily a catcher and also plays 3rd base.  Molly was chosen as co-MVP of  district 24-5A in 2009 along with Aces teammate Katie Moulder.  The two will meet up again in the Southland Conference, as Molly will join Coach Lori Cook and the UTSA Roadrunners in the fall of 2010.  Congratulations Molly! Katie MoulderNichollsKatie Moulder, a rising senior at Clear Creek High School in League City, has committed to play softball for the Nicholls State University in Tibodaux, LA.  Katie has been with the Texas Aces Gold since the fall of 2007, and played with Texas Impulse prior to that.  Katie is a pitcher for the Texas Aces Gold and the Clear Creek Lady Wildcats, where she was an All-District selection in 2008.  Katie will join Coach Jenny Parsons and the Lady Colonels in the fall of 2010.  Congratulations Katie!  Go Colonels!!  Committed February 2009/Signing Nov 2009
  
Crystal AlanizTexas State UniversityCrystal Alaniz, a rising senior at Texas City High School, verbally committed to play softball for Texas State University.  Crystal joined the Texas Aces Gold in the fall of 2008, and made her commitment soon after.  Crystal previously played for Texas Impact Gold and Texas Rage.  Crystal pitches for her high school team, and was first team All-District the past two seasons. Alyssa RodriguezAngelina CollegeAlyssa Rodriguez, a recent graduate of Needville High School, has committed to play softball for Angelina College in Lufkin, TX.  Alyssa joined the Texas Aces Gold in the fall of 2008, and previously played for the Sugar Land Heat and Third Coast Thunder.  Angelina College formed a new softball program for the 2008-2009 season.  Alyssa will join Coach Chrystal Vega and the Lady Roadrunners in the fall of 2009 for their 2nd season.  Congratulations Alyssa.  Go Lady 'Runners!!  Committed  January 2009
 
Caitlin BollierUMHBCaitlin Bollier, a recent graduate of Kerrville Tivy High School, has committed to play softball for the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, TX.  Caitlin joined the Texas Aces Gold in the fall of 2008, and previously played for the Texas Hawks.  Caitlin was a 2008 TGCA 4A All-State selection at 3rd base, as well as All-Area and All-District.  Caitlin will join Coach Kasey Blomquist and the 2008 American Southwest Conference West Division Champions UMHB Lady Crusaders in the fall of 2009.  Congratulations Caitlin.  Go Cru!!  Committed November 2008
 
Brittany TaylorUniversity of North TexasBrittany Taylor, a recent graduate of Cypress Falls High School, signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball for the University of North Texas.  Brittany joined the Texas Aces Gold in the fall of 2007.  Brittany played 1st and 3rd for the Texas Aces Gold, and pitched for her high school team.  She was All-District as a pitcher the past two seasons, and also team MVP.  Brittany will join coach T.J. Hubbard and the UNT Mean Green of the Sun Belt Conference in the fall of 2009.  Go Green!!

Holly AndersonUniversity of Houston CougarsHolly Anderson, a recent graduate of Dickinson High School, signed to play softball for the University of Houston.  Holly has played for the Texas Aces Gold since the fall of 2006.  Holly played shortstop, third base, and center field for the Texas Aces, and pitched for her high school team.  She is a true utility player, and was named the All-District Utility Player of the Year the past two seasons!  Holly was also the setter for the varsity volleyball team.  Holly will join coach Kyla Holas and the University of Houston Cougars of Conference USA in the fall of 2009.  Go Coogs!!

Ashleigh JonesUniversity of Houston CougarsAshleigh Jones, who recently graduated from Klein Oak High School, joined the Texas Aces Gold in the fall of 2008. Sandi MoynihanGeoorge Washington UniversitySandi Moynihan, who recently graduated from St. Agnes Academy, joined the Texas Aces in the fall of 2008.  Sandi had already committed to play softball for George Washington University, which is located four blocks from the White House in Washington, DC.  Sandi previously played for Texas Magic Gold.  Sandi was a catcher for the St. Agnes Tigers and the Texas Aces Gold.  She will be joining coach Kim Staehle and the GW Colonials of the Atlantic 10 conference in the fall of 2009.  Congrats!!

Jessica SavageTexas State BobcatsJessica Savage, a recent graduate of Alvin High School, joined the Texas Aces Gold for the summer 2008 season.  Jessica had already made a verbal commitment to play softball at Texas State University.  Jessica previously played with the Texas Eclipse Gold and Alvin No Fear.  Jessica played second base for the Alvin Yellowjackets and also played outfield and third base. Texas A&M
Kelsea Orsak, who graduated in 2008 from Pearland High School, committed to Texas A&M University before the start of her junior year.  Kelsea was one of the original players that started with this Aces team, coached by her mom, in fall of 1998.  Kelsea was a catcher and also played 1st and 3rd base for the Texas Aces Gold.  Kelsea was the starting 1st baseman for her high school varsity team her freshman and sophomore years,  but was behind the plate her junior season, catching her Aces and Aggie teammate, Rhiannon Kliesing.  Kelsea joined Coach Jo Evans and the Texas Aggies of the Big 12 Conference in the fall of 2008.   Started 52 of 54 games for the Aggies in center field.  Finished with a 0.246 batting average, 2 doubles, and 7 RBI. Team leader in stolen bases, going 13 for 15 on the season.

Beth Evans, a 2008 graduate from Clear Lake High School, signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball at Houston Baptist University as they return to NCAA Division I.  Beth pitched for 3 years with the Texas Aces Gold.  Along with pitching, she played 2nd base and outfield for her Clear Lake High School varsity team where she is a 4 year letter winner.  In 2007, she was in the top 5 in K's and Top 10 in ERA for 5A schools in the Houston Area and a SPARQ top 50 athlete (nationwide).  Beth joined Coach Mary Ellen Hall and the HBU Huskies in the fall of 2008.  Go Huskies!!        Committed Oct 2007/Signed Nov 2007

Appeared in 20 games in the circle for the Huskies, with 18 starts.  Finished with a 6-11 record, and a 2.82 ERA, and 108 strikeouts in 114.1 innings pitched.  Also had 10 starts in 12 games in the outfield.  Hit home run in first collegiate at bat.  In limited opportunities at the plate, had 0.261 batting average with 1 double, 1 HR, and 5 RBI.  Named Great West Pitcher of the Week in March for picking up a save and two victories over Northwood and Houston-Victoria.  Against Texas Southern, gave up just one hit in three innings of work.  For the week, gave up 11 hits and one earned run for an ERA of 0.41.  She also struck out 15 and didn't walk a batter, extending her streak of consecutive innings without giving up a walk to 26.
 
Baylea WagenerCentral ArkansasBaylea Wagener, a 2008 graduate of Angleton High School, signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball at the University of Central Arkansas.  Baylea is a two-time All-District Pitcher of the Year in 4A High School softball.  Baylea joined the Texas Aces in the fall of 2007 after playing for the Houston Mystixx the previous year.  Baylea joined Coach Natalie Shock and the UCA Sugar Bears in the Southland Conference in the fall of 2008.  Congratulations Baylea!  Go Bears!!

Transferred to Galveston College after attending University of Central Arkansas for one semester.  Pitched 125 innings for the Whitecaps in 23 games.  Completed freshman season with 11-5 record and 3.53 ERA.  Struck out 31 batters faced.
 
Megan Yanda
Texarkana College Bulldogs
Megan Yanda, who graduated in 2008 from Clear Brook High School, signed to play softball at Texarkana College.  Megan played outfield for the Texas Aces from the fall of 2006 through the summer of 2008.  Megan also played second base for her high school team, and is a speedy slapper that bats at the top of the line-up. The Texarkana College Bulldogs were the 2007 NJCAA XIV East Zone Conference and Region XIV Champions, and made an appearance at the 2007 NJCAA National Tournament. Meagan PottsWesternersMeagan Potts, a 2008 graduate of Alvin High School,  signed to play softball at Western Texas College, located in the west Texas town of Snyder (between Lubbock and Abilene).  Meagan joined the Texas Aces in the fall of 2007 and played outfield.  Meagan also played outfield for the Alvin Lady 'Jackets.  Western Texas is an NJCAA Division 1 softball program that participates in Region 5.  Meagan joined Coach Rome McNary and the Lady Westerner softball team in the fall of 2008.  Go Westerners!!  Committed/Signed March 2008

Played in 46 of 53 games as an outfielder.  Finished with a 0.256 batting average with 164 at bats.  Had a team high 15 doubles, with 10 RBI and 25 runs scored.

Megan has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her softball career at  Alvin Community College for the 2009-2010 season.

Rhiannon KliesingTexas A&MRhiannon Kliesing, a 2007 graduate of Pearland High School, signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball at Texas A&M University.  Rhiannon was one of the original Aces players that started with this team in the fall of 1998.  Rhiannon pitched and played 1st base for the Texas Aces Gold, and was the starting pitcher for her high school varsity team for 3 years.  Rhiannon was selected as District MVP her junior and senior years, and Houston Chronicle Player of the Year as a junior and Houston Chronicle Pitcher of the Year as a senior.  She was also named an All-American two years in a row by both NFCA and EA Sports.  Rhiannon joined Coach Jo Evans and the Texas Aggies of the Big 12 Conference in the fall of 2007.  Committed Dec 2005/Signed Nov 2006  TAMU Press Release

Posted a 12-4 record in 16 starts in the circle.  Finished with a 1.40 ERA and struck out 99 batters in 110.1 innings of work.  Recorded 6 shutouts in 15 complete games.  Pitched a no-hitter against Texas State.  Also played 1st base,  playing in 53 of the Aggies 67 games. Finished the season with 0.279 batting average in 104 at bats, including 5 doubles and 4 homeruns, and 16 RBI.  Hit a 2-run HR against Texas for the game winning RBI in the Big 12 Tournament.  Also hit a lead-off HR against Stanford in the first game of the NCAA College Station Super Regional, and another HR against Stanford in the second game.  At the NCAA Women's College World Series, recorded one of only two hits against 2008 Softball Player of the Year Angela Tincher of Virginia Tech, and pinch runner scored the winning run.  Drove in the winning run against ULL in the Aggies second game at the WCWS.  Also walked for an RBI and had one hit against Florida pitcher Stacy Nelson.
2009 Texas A&M:  Started all 54 games for the Aggies, either at pitcher or first base.  Finished with a 0.265 batting average, 5 doubles, 1 triple, and 8 home runs.  Led the team with 34 RBI, and tied for the lead in HR.  In the circle, finished with a 20-13 record and a 2.38 ERA, with 177 strikeouts in 226.2 innings of work.  Pitched 26 complete games with 5 shutouts.  Earned Big 12 Pitcher of the Week with two wins over Arizona, and Big 12 Player of the Week after hitting 0.500 in wins over Texas and Baylor. First Team All-Big 12 Conference selection.
 
Kesha HagermanPrairie View A&MKesha Hagerman, a 2007 graduate of Pearland High School, signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball at Prairie View A&M University.  Kesha was one of the original Aces that started with this team in fall of 1998.  Kesha played left field for the Texas Aces Gold and for the Pearland Lady Oilers high school varsity team.  Kesha was selected as an All-State and All-American outfielder as a junior.  Kesha joined Coach Raymond Burgess and the Prairie View Lady Panthers of the Southwestern Athletic Conference in the fall of 2007.       Committed Dec 2006/Signed April 2007

2009 Prairie View A&M: Started all 40 games for the Panthers.  Led the team with a 0.316 batting average. Had 3 triples and 9 RBI from the leadoff spot.  Only struck out 8 times in 114 at bats.  Was 10 for 11 in stolen bases.  Named to the Southwest Athletic Conference Softball Championship All-Tournament Team. Second-Team All SWAC selection.

Played in all 59 games for the Cowgirls.  Let the team with 23 walks.  Fourth on team with 0.276 batting average compiled in 204 plate appearances and 174 at bats.  Had 48 hits, with 4 doubles and nine RBI, and scored 28 runs, with 6 stolen bases. 
2009 McNeese State: Started all 59 games for the Cowgirls in outfield.  Led team with 0.269 batting avg, 30 runs scored, 49 hits, and 15 stolen bases.  Had 14 RBI, with 6 doubles, 2 triples, and one HR.  Led conference with 212 plate appearances and ranked fifth in stolen bases and runs scored.  Hit lead-off home run in Conference tournament championship game. Named to the Southland Conference All-Tournament Team.  Louisiana Sports Writers Association All-Louisiana Softball Team honorable mention. All-Southland Conference Third Team selection.

Played in 43 of the Bobcats 53 games, with 36 starts at third base.  Compiled a 0.189 batting average in 95 at bats, with 18 hits, including 8 doubles, 14 RBI, and 11 runs scored.  Had 39 put outs and 70 assists on the season.
2009 Texas State: Started 56 games at third base for the Bobcats, missing only two games due to a wrist injury.  Was second on the team with a 0.326 batting average and 5 home runs.  Led team with 32 RBI, 16 doubles, and a 0.565 slugging percentage.  Also led team with 16 hit by pitches, and tied for lead with 3 sacrifice flies.  Named Southland Conference Hitter of the Week in March after batting 0.438 for the week.  Led conference with 16 doubles and 0.451 on base percentage.  Named to the All-Southland Conference Second Team.
 
Texas TechLauren PrestonLauren Preston, a 2007 graduate of Fort Bend Austin High School, signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball at Texas Tech University.  Lauren was with the Texas Aces for two years. Previously she played for Magic Gold.  Lauren played 3rd base, shortstop, and outfield for the Texas Aces Gold, and was a starting infielder for her high school varsity team.  Lauren began playing for Coach Teresa Wilson and the Red Raiders of the Big 12 Conference starting in the fall of 2007. Lauren MillerSt. Mary's Rattler AthleticsLauren Miller signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball at Division II St. Mary's University in San Antonio, TX.  Lauren was a home educated 2007 graduate that also took dual credit classes at Lee College in Baytown.  Lauren played outfield for the Texas Aces Gold for two years.  Lauren played with the La Porte Naturals in 10U & 12U before taking a few years off from softball to play club soccer.  Lauren joined Coach Donna Fields and the St. Mary's University Rattlers in the Heartland Conference starting in the fall of 2007.  We are proud of you, Lauren!    Committed Feb 2007/Signed Apr 2007

Played in 56 games, hitting 0.288 with five doubles, two triples, a homerun, 24 RBI, and 27 runs scored.  Had a hit in her first collegiate at bat.  Had eight multiple hit games and four multiple RBI games.
2009 St. Mary's: Started 63 of 64 games for the Rattlers in centerfield, at first base, or as designated hitter.  Scored 32 runs, hit 7 doubles and one home run.  Finished the season with a 0.276 batting average and 25 RBI.  Second on team with 9 stolen bases in 10 attempts.

Tiffany Shaw LSUTiffany Shaw, a 2007 graduate of Evangel Christian Academy in Shreveport, LA, signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Tiffany joined the Texas Aces Gold as an outfielder for fall 2006 after playing with the LA Pride the previous year, but later moved on to the Gold Coast Hurricanes to play with a fellow LSU signee.  Tiffany was an All-State and NFCA All-Region player in 2006.  Tiffany joined Coach Yvette Girouard  at LSU in the SEC in the fall of 2007.  Geaux Tigers!  Committed Sep 2006/Signed Nov 2006

Played in 45 games, starting one.  Used primarily as a pinch runner.  Recorded 12 stolen bases in 16 attempts, third best on the team.  Scored 20 runs and recorded one RBI. Named to the 2008 SEC Freshman Academic Honor Roll.

2009 LSU:
Missed first 26 games of the season due to injury.  Appeared in 18 games primarily as a pinch runner.  Scored 10 runs.

Ashley Nelson, a 2006 graduate from Clements High School, accepted a scholarship offer to play softball at Sam Houston State University!  Ashley was a catcher and also played 1st base for the Texas Aces Gold, and was the starting catcher for her high school varsity team.  Prior to playing for the Aces, Ashley played for Dan & Kelly on the Sugar Land Shock and also played for the Missouri City Magic.  Ashley began playing for Coach Bob Brock and the SHSU Bearkats of the Southland Conference starting in the fall of 2006.   Committed/Signed Jul 2006   SHSU Profile

2008 Sam Houston:  Played in 20 of the Bearkats 61 games, with 19 starts.  In 36 at bats, had 5 hits and 3 RBI.  Was 1-1 in stolen bases.  Caught 3 runners stealing.
2009 Sam Houston: Played in 13 games for the Bearkats, starting 8 behind the plate.  Batted .333 on the season, with 5 doubles and 9 RBI in only 27 at bats.  Caught 2 runners stealing.

Chelsey Chapman, who graduated in 2006 from Clear Lake High School, spent the summer of 2006 playing ball with the Texas Aces Gold, after playing for the Texas Challengers in previous years.  Chelsey played outfield for the Clear Lake Falcons and the Texas Aces Gold. Chelsey made the softball team at UTSA as a walk-on at open tryouts!  Chelsey planned to attend the University of Texas at San Antonio all along, and planned to try out for the softball team when she got there.  Congratulations Chelsey!  We are all very proud of you for reaching your goal!  Go Roadrunners!  Aug 2006

Played in 17 games with one start.  Had two official at bats, with one hit, and also walked twice.  Scored 5 runs, and was 2-3 in stolen base attempts.
2008 UTSA:  Played in 23 games, with two starts.  Had two hits in 5 at bats, for a 0.400 average.  Scored 4 runs.
2009 UTSA: Played in 47 of the Roadrunner's 58 games, with 18 starts in the outfield.  Batted 0.216 with one RBI in 37 at bats.  Saw most time as a pinch runner.  Was second on the team in stolen bases, going 4 for 5.

Stephanie Runge, who graduated in 2005 from Clear Creek High School, went on to play softball at

Jamie Haas Sam Hosuton StateJamie Haas (2009 Deer Park High School) plans to play volleyball at Sam Houston State University.   Jamie started playing softball for the Texas Aces Gold in the fall of  2006. Jamie played with the Aces for two years before deciding to pursue volleyball instead of softball in college.  We all wish Jamie well in her volleyball career, and congratulate her on her commitment to Sam Houston State.  Go Bearkats!
 
Lana Jo Hairston Lana Jo Hairston (2008 Brazoswood High School) plays softball at St. Edwards University in San Antonio.  Lana Jo played for the Texas Aces for two years in 14U, and also traveled to Gold Nationals with the Texas Aces in 2007.  Lana Jo played for the Texas Magic Gold before committing to college.  Congratulations Lana Jo!

Played in 61 of the Hilltoppers 62 games, starting all but one.  Played first base or was designated hitter when not pitching.  Compiled a 0.247 batting average in 174 at bats, with 8 doubles and two home runs.  Finished the season with a 7-6 record in the circle, with 60 strike outs in 78 innings pitched, and a 3.95 ERA.
 
Kalyn Harris Kalyn Harris - CentenaryKalyn Harris (2008 Airline High School, LA) plays softball at Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana. Kalyn played for Coach Kelly & Dan on the Sugar Land Shock, then played for the Texas Aces Gold for a year and a half.  Kalyn attended ULL for one semester before transferring to Centenary.  Good Luck Kalyn!

Morgan Luksa Morgan Luksa - UTSAMorgan Luksa (2008 Clear Creek High School) plays softball at University of Texas at San AntonioMorgan played for Texas Storm - Dixon one year after playing two years for the Texas Aces Gold, then moved to the Texas Express Gold.  Morgan also played for the Texas Aces 10U for a short time in in the spring of 2000.  Morgan is also a long-time pitching student of former Texas Aces coach Harry Havard.  Congratulations Morgan!

Finished the season with a 3-3 pitching record and a 3.32 ERA.  Appeared in 17 games with 6 starts in the circle.  Struck out 21 batters in 46.1 innings pitched.  Played in 20 games, starting 9 in the field.  Had a perfect fielding percentage with 3 put outs and 13 assists.  Had one hit in 20 at bats.

2008 Centenary:
  Was a 'major spark plug' for the Centenary Ladies offense.  Started in 57 of 60 games on the season, and saw action in the other three.  Hit 0.262 with a team high 44 runs scored, third most ever in a Centenary single season.  Tied for team lead with 7 homeruns, and led team with perfect 15 of 15 stolen bases.  Named Summit League player of the week once.  Had only one error all season.
2009 Centenary:  Started 52 games while playing in 54 of the Ladies 55 games on the season.  Batted 0.248 with 34 hits, including 5 doubles, 2 triples, and one homerun.  Drove in 12 runs, while scoring 20.  Was 11 for 14 in stolen bases.  Named to the Summit League All-Tournament team.
  
Tiffany Stritz Tiffany Stritz - Texarkana CollegeTiffany Stritz (2007 Pearland High School) accepted a scholarship to play softball at Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas, but later changed her mind and went on to play at Texarkana College.  Tiffany played with the Texas Aces in 10U in 2000 and last played for the Texas Cobras.  Tiffany also played high school ball at Pearland with several other Texas Aces players. Freshman season, Tiffany pitched 9 innings with no decisions.  She played in 31 games in the field, and compiled a 0.229 batting average in 70 at bats, with 16 hits and 6 RBI.  She also scored 10 runs.
2009 Texarkana College:  Her sophomore season, Tiffany pitched 205.1 innings and finished with a 2.83 ERA.  She had an 18-13 record in the circle.  At the plate, she finished with a 0.274 batting average, with 26 hits in 95 at bats and 9 RBI.
2010: Tiffany has signed a letter-of-intent to continue her softball career at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, a first-year NAIA program.

Emily HorneEmily HorneEmily Horne (2004 Sharpstown High School) played at Arkansas Tech University, after playing two years at Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Wesson, Mississippi.  In her final year at Co-Lin, Emily led the team to a third place finish in the NJCAA National Tournament in Normal, Illinois.  Emily led the nation in NCJAA Division II with a 0.466 ERA, and was named 1st Team All American.  Emily played for Havard's Texas Aces team for several years, and later played for the Texas Peppers.  She took pitching lessons from Havard for many years.   Co-Lin Profile
