North Carolina's the best place to be.
I went to that state, my whole family and me.

I went to play softball; I went to play good.
I had to place and I knew that I would.

We went to a water park the very first day.
We changed into our bathing suits and then got to play.

While we were there we traded our pins.
Some of those pins had dangling ends.

Some pins were big and some pins were small.
Some pins had on them a bat and a ball.

There were some pins that blinked, but most that did not.
A Gator "blinky" was one that I got.

My pin is a Texas, in red, white, and blue,
With a bat hitting a ball - the ball's coming at you!

We went home the first night and got into our bed.
At two the next afternoon we got up and fled.

We won our first game and it was quite a win.
We were down by eight runs and we came back and beat them!

We lost to the Stealers, we played pretty bad.
This took away the thrill that we had.

We won the next game against the Maryland Lightning.
And the game that we played, it was really quite frightening.

We lost the last game and went home in tears,
But the Texas Aces will be back next year!
