A note from the webmaster, April 19, 2001 -- During our trip to Oklahoma City for AFA Nationals in 2000, we took time out to visit the Oklahoma City National Memorial, site of the Oklahoma City Bombing of April 19, 1995.  These girls weren't even 6 years old when this happened.  Although there were smiles on the girls' faces as they posed for the pictures, it was a very emotional experience for all of us, especially the adults.  I work for the Federal Government, and my children were in a Federal daycare the day of the bombing.  It was a frightening time for us, and must have been horrifying for the families involved.  Our hearts went out to them that day, and each and every day we think about this event. Ironically, Timothy McVeigh is scheduled to be put to death on Rhiannon's birthday...

"We come here to remember those who were killed,
those who survived and those changed forever.
May all who leave here know the impact of violence.
May this memorial offer comfort, strength, peace, hope and serenity."
