Texas Aces Take 4th at College Station
The Texas Aces 12U took 4th place out of 16 teams in Bryan/College Station at the Texas ASA Girl's Fast Pitch Memorial Invitational over Memorial Weekend. The Aces had to face the Texas Smash in only the second round of bracket play. Although the Aces played a very tough game, the Smash won 1-0. The Aces then had to work their way up through the losers bracket, sending home the Gamblers, Abilene Blue Sox, and the Texas Terminators along the way. In their final game, after getting the lead against the College Station Tigers (Black), the Aces defense lost control in the final inning to give the Tigers the lead and leave the Aces in 4th place. We had really hoped to see the Smash again in the Championship game, like ASA State last year!
