| The Texas Aces went 2-1 in pool games, but lost back-to-back bracket
games to make it a short weekend. Although they out-hit the Katy
Heat in the first bracket game, they came up short on runs, sending them
to the losers bracket. They then faced the Texas Smash, who had lost
to the Texas Sting in their first game. The Smash got on the board
with 2 runs in the 2nd and 2 more in the 4th, but the Aces answered back
with 2 in the 4th and 2 more in the 5th to tie it up and force the game
into an International Tie-Breaker inning. Three Aces errors in the
inning allowed 4 runs for the Smash, which the Aces couldn't overcome. |
