Texas Aces take 2nd and Qualify for USSSA Nationals
The Texas Aces girls went undefeated in the USSSA qualifier until the championship game at Softball USA on April 22, 2001. At that point, the pitchers started struggling, and the bats were silent, as the girls were shut out by the Starz. Unfortunately, there was no "IF" game when they needed it. Even so, as the only 11U team entered in the tournament, the Aces earned a berth for the USSSA 11U Nationals in Florida in late July.
