AFA State Tournament Rained Out
The Texas Aces chose to play in the AFA State tournament because most of the strongest teams in the Houston area would be there. Several of the first round games of the tournament were completed before the Aces game got underway at 4:00 pm. Rhiannon threw one pitch when the game was suspended due to lightning in the area. At 5:00 pm, the games resumed. However, the rains started after 3 innings, and the games were once again suspended. Heavy rain and thunderstorms all night and into Saturday kept the tournament from resuming.
