Texas Aces Take 2nd Place in First Tournament of the Season
After getting off to a very rusty start against the Texas Torture (the Aces only had one practice since starting back for the fall season), the Aces picked up the pace and beat the Sugar Land Outlaws in their second pool game. They had no trouble with the new 12 & U teams, but also lost to a strong Hit Away 2nd year team. The Texas Aces finished the pool games in 4th place, allowing them to play in the bracket. The undefeated Texas Torture finished the pool in 1st, putting them against the Aces. The Aces played strong against the Torture this time, sending them to play against the Sugar Land Outlaws, who were defeated by Hit Away. However, the Aces couldn't get their bats going against Hit Away once again, and several errors left them in 2nd place. Still, not bad for first time on the field in 3 months.
