Pool Game 1 - vs Texas Fever 14U.  Aces won 5-0.
Amber led off in the first pool game with a walk, and advanced to 3rd.  However, she was doubled-up on a lineout to 1st.  Lindsey rallied on two outs with a single, and advanced to 2nd on a wild pitch. Megan brought Lindsey home with a single, but was left stranded.  With Rhiannon pitching, the Aces got 3-up-3-down with two pop-ups to 2nd and a groundout.  In the 2nd, Kelsea reached on error with one out, and advanced to 2nd on a wild pitch.  Rhiannon brought home Kelsea with a single.  Amy, as courtesy runner for Rhiannon, was doubled-up on 2nd on a lineout to the pitcher.  Rhiannon got two strikeouts and one groundout in the 2nd.  Amy led off the 3rd with a walk, followed by a single from Ashleigh. Amber followed with a safe bunt that would have beat out the throw anyway, but on a bad throw, 2 runs scored.  Brytish brought home Amber with a groundout.  Megan walked but was left stranded.  The Fever had another pop-up to 2nd before time was called, leaving the Aces on top 5-0 with a perfect game.

Pool Game 2 - vs Gulf Coast Xplosion 14U.  Aces won 5-1.
Kayla pitched against the Xplosion.  In the 1st, one batter reached on an error with one out, and scored on a double.  However, with the throw from Amy in center back to Kayla, Kayla threw to Megan at 3rd to get the batter-runner going for an extra base.  A strikeout finished the inning.  Kendall led off with a slap that brought in the 1st and 2nd baseman, leaving the base open, and Amy reached on an error.  A groundout advanced the runners. Megan brought home two on a single up the middle, but was left stranded.  The Xplosion led off with a hit in the 2nd, but the runner was left stranded on third on three groundouts.  Amber walked in the 2nd and advanced on a groundout and a wild pitch.  Kesha was safe on a bunt as they held Amber at 3rd.  Kelsea grounded out to score Amber, and Kesha scored on a wild pitch.  In the 3rd, after a strikeout, Kayla hit a batter and walked one to give Xplosion two base runners.  However, after a line drive back to her, Kayla was able to get the double play on the runner at first to end the inning.  In the bottom of the 3rd, Kendall led off with another safe hit, and advanced on a sac bunt.  Brytish singled as Amber held at 2nd. Megan hit into a fielder's choice, but the 3rd baseman lost the ball and Kendall scored on the error instead.  Lindsey hit a single, but Brytish was tagged out trying to score from 2nd.  Another groundout left two stranded, but the Aces were on top 5-2.

Pool Game 3 - vs TCB 14U.  Aces won 4-0.
Amber and Brytish started out with back-to-back singles, but both were left stranded.  After a strikeout, TCB had one reach on error, and another runner on a single.  However, on a groundout back to Rhiannon at pitcher, Kendall (or Kayla?) at 1st threw home to Megan for a double play as they got the runner trying to score.  Kesha and Kendall both had singles in the 2nd and were left stranded.  TCB went 3-up-3-down in the bottom of the 2nd.  Ashleigh led off with a single in the 3rd, and advanced on a groundout.  Brytish followed with a single to advance Ashleigh, and stole 2nd.  Lindsey hit a safe bunt to load the bases.  After a strikeout, Kayla ripped one down the 3rd base line for a triple, bringing home 3 runs. Kesha followed with a single to score Kayla.  TCB had 3-up-3-down again in the 3rd.  Kendall had a single in the 4th but was left stranded.  Kayla finished the game for the Aces, and TCB had a single in the 4th, for their 2nd hit of the game, but the runner was also left stranded.

Pool Game 4 - vs Lethal Weapon 14U.  Aces lost 0-4.
In the final pool game, Kayla started for the Aces.  The first batter reached on an error, and advanced to 3rd on a wild pitch.  After a strikeout, on a hit back to Kayla, she threw to Kelsea for the runner going home for the 2nd out.  The next batter hit a single to advance the runner, and another single brought home a run.  However, an Aces error allowed another run to score before catching the batter in a rundown between 2nd & 3rd.  Brytish had a single in the 1st, but was tagged out going for 3rd on a single from Lindsey. Megan walked, but two were left stranded.  In the 2nd, Ashleigh struck one out and walked one, but a fielder's choice took the lead runner and a groundout left one stranded.  Kesha led off with a single in the 2nd, and advanced as Rhiannon reached on an error.  A fielder's choice got the lead runner, and two were left stranded. Ashleigh walked the lead batter, who scored on a wild pitch.  After a single, another walked, and a groundout scored one more.

Bracket 1 - vs Beaumont Blast 14U.  Aces lost 3-4.
The first bracket game was the Aces 5th game of the day, with the Aces as visitors.  Brytish hit a single in the 1st, but was left stranded.  The Aces really struggled defensively the first inning.  After Kayla struck one out, the next batter reached on an Aces defensive error.  A fielder's choice failed to get the lead runner with another error, as yet another error scored a run and gave the Blast another base runner.  A walk loaded the bases.  Kayla then came back with a strikeout on a full count, and a groundout left 3 stranded. Kendall hit a single on two outs in the 2nd, but was left stranded.  The defense tightened up, and the Aces got the Blast 3-up-3-down in the bottom of the 2nd.  After a strikeout, Amber walked and advanced to 2nd on a Blast error.  Lindsey reached on an error, which allowed Amber to score, tying the game at 1-1.  The Blast had one base runner in the 3rd who reached on an error, but was left stranded.  In the 4th, the Aces had 3-up-3-down, and the Blast had one hit that was left stranded, putting the game into an International Tie Breaker.

In the ITB, Kendall started out at 2nd, and advanced on a sac bunt by KelseaRhiannon reached on an error as Kendall scored.  Amy, re-entered for Rhiannon, advanced to 2nd on a wild pitch, and moved to 3rd on a sac bunt by Amber. Brytish hit back to the pitcher, who went for the out at the plate rather than 1st.  However, Amy slid in safely to put the Aces up by two runs.  Lindsey followed with a single, but two were left stranded.  The Blast runner on 2nd advanced to 3rd on a wild pitch as Kayla struck out the first batter.  Blast followed with a triple to come within one of the Aces, with the tying run on 3rd.  A groundout to short tied the game at 3-3.  However, the next Blast batter hit a homerun, ending the game. :-(

Bracket 2 - vs Texas Fever 14U.  Aces won 4-3.
The Aces came back on Sunday ready to play ball.  They started out facing the Texas Fever with Rhiannon pitching.  After a pop-up to Kayla at 1st, the Fever got one hit.  However, the runner was left stranded at 1st after two fly-outs to Kendall in right field.  After a groundout, Brytish hit a single for the Aces, but was forced out at 2nd.  Megan reached on an error, but two were left stranded.  The Fever led off the top of the 2nd with a hit, but when the runner advanced to 2nd on a sac bunt fielded by Kayla to Lindsey covering 1st, the runner was caught rounding 2nd by Brytish for a double play.  The Fever followed with another single, but a strikeout left the runner stranded.
