Texas Aces Fall Short at USFA State Tournament
With most of the strongest teams entered in the tournament stacked in the top part of the bracket, it was certain they would be sending each other to the loser's bracket on Saturday. After the Aces beat the Slammers, they faced the Austin Storm. The Aces fell behind in the first inning, but came back and won the game. Returning to the winners bracket on Sunday morning, the girls just couldn't get their bats going. They never came out of the slump, losing to the Rough Riders and then the Slammers back to back, not even putting up much of a fight, finishing 5th place out of 27 teams. Let's practice some more, and come back strong at ASA State!
