Pool Game 2 - vs Texas Fever.  Aces won 6-0.
The Aces batted first.  Lindsey walked on one out. Megan hit a single, then Rhiannon walked to load the bases. Lindsey scored on a wild pitch, and Kendall hit a single to load the bases again.  Kesha hit a single to score a run, and Stephanie followed with a double to score two more.  Emily walked, but two were left stranded.  Rhiannon struck out the side in the first.  Amber walked in the 2nd, but was out on a fielder's choice.  Lindsey hit into a fielder's choice, but Sarah was safe at 2nd.  Another fielder's choice took the lead runner at 3rd.  A walk loaded the bases, but all three were left stranded.  Rhiannon walked two in the 2nd, but both were left stranded.  Kesha led off with a single.  Stephanie followed with another single to right, but Kesha was tagged out when she rounded 2nd too far.  Kelsea hit into a fielder's choice, but Stephanie was safe at 2nd on an error.  Two were left stranded.  Rhiannon walked one after a ground out, but struck out the next two to retire the side.  Amber led off with a single in the 4th, and advanced on a sac bunt by Sarah. Lindsey followed with a single to score Amber.  Time expired with the Aces batting and only one out. 

Bracket 1 - vs Katy Force.  Aces won 4-0.
The Aces were home team, with Sarah pitching.  The Force had one runner on with an Aces defensive error.  The runner advanced on a sac bunt, but was tagged out in a double play as the runner rounded 2nd too far.  Amber led off the first with a single and stole 2nd.  Lindsey hit a single to score Amber.  Megan followed with a double to score Lindsey from 1st.  Megan was tagged out at 2nd in a double play after a ground out.  Sarah walked one in the 2nd, but the runner was left stranded.  Kendall led off with a double in the bottom of the 2nd.  After two outs, Kelsea followed with a single to advance Kendall.  Kendall scored on a wild pitch.  Amber followed with a single to score Kelsea.  Sarah hit a single, but two were left stranded.  The Force was 3-up-3-down in the top of the 3rd, with a fly out to Ashley in right and two strike outs.  Megan walked in the bottom of the 3rd.  Kendall hit a single, but both were left stranded.  One runner reached on an error in the top of the 4th.  The runner advanced to 3rd on a sac bunt and another error.  After two outs, Sarah walked another.  With two outs and a runner on 3rd, Megan caught the runner stealing 2nd with a throw to Lindsey for the 3rd out.  The Aces were 3-up-3-down in the bottom of the 4th, and the Force was 3-up-3-down in the top of the 5th.

Bracket 2 - vs Gulf Coast Xplosion.  Aces won 3-2.
In the winners bracket Saturday night, the Aces faced the Gulf Coast Xplosion, this time with their full team.  Amber led off for the Aces, and reached on an error.  Lindsey walked.  After an infield-fly out, Rhiannon hit into a fielder's choice which got Lindsey heading to 2nd, and a pop up left two stranded.  The first GCX batter reached on an error, and advanced on two ground outs. Rhiannon walked one, then struck out the last to leave two stranded. Emily reached on an error in the 2nd, but got caught off base on a line drive shot to center field on a good play by GCX.   GCX  led off with a single in the 2nd, and the runner advanced on a wild pitch and a ground out.  The next batter hit into a fielder's choice to short, in which Lindsey threw home to keep the runner from scoring.  The runner headed back to 3rd, but the batter-runner was between 2nd and 3rd.   Kelsea threw back to 2nd base to catch the runner, and Lindsey ended up making the tag while still holding the runner to 3rd.  The next runner hit to short, and Lindsey held the runner at 3rd.  On the next pitch, with a runner at 3rd, Kelsea and Lindsey caught the runner stealing 2nd for the 3rd out.  In the top of the 3rd, Amber hit a single on one out.  Lindsey reached on error.  Megan followed with a double to bring home two runs.  Rhiannon followed with a check swing bunt that scored one run.  On the throw to 1st, no one was covering, and Rhiannon ended up on 3rd.  After another out, Kesha hit to short and clearly beat out the throw to 1st for another RBI, but the umps didn't call it that way.  In the bottom of the 3rd, Rhiannon struck out two and walked one, but left the runner stranded on a ground out. Ashley walked on one out in the 4th, and Kelsea followed with a single, but both were left stranded on an infield fly and a pop up.  In the bottom of the 4th, the first batter reached on a Aces fielding error.  Another error put another runner on with no outs.  After an infield fly out, a base hit loaded the bases.  Another base hit scored a run.  A ground out scored another run.  The Aces only had a one run lead.  With time expired and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Rhiannon struck out the final batter for the WIN!

Bracket 3 - vs Young Guns Red.  Aces lost 0-1.
The Aces were 3-up-3-down in the 1st 3 innings, with a lot of strike outs, as the strike zone included about 8 inches on either side of the plate.  The Young Guns were 3-up-3-down in the 1st.  They had one batter reach on an error in the 2nd.  The Aces got the lead runner on a fielder's choice.  After Sarah struck out one, a single put another runner on, but both were left stranded.  Sarah struck out the first two batters in the 3rd, and allowed on base hit, but the runner was left stranded.  In the top of the 4th, after a fly out to center and a pop up to 2nd, Lindsey walked.  Megan followed with a single, which was the Aces only hit of the game, and both runners were left stranded.  The Young Guns led off with a single in the bottom of the 4th, but the Aces caught the runner in a delayed steal to 2nd.  After another out, the Young Guns got another hit, but the runner was left stranded, leaving the game tied 0-0 and sending it into an ITB inning. Kendall started at 2nd, and advanced on a wild pitch with no outs.  However, two strike outs and a ground out left her stranded.  The Young Guns advanced their runner to 2nd with a ground out.  Amber caught a line drive at 2nd and almost doubled off the runner at 3rd.  However, a high bouncing grounder to short allowed the runner to beat the throw and ended the game.

Bracket 4 - vs Gulf Coast Xplosion.  Aces won 1-0.
Lindsey singled on one out in the 1st.  Megan reached on error as the ball was dropped at 1st.  Rhiannon bunted safely to score Lindsey.  Two were left stranded.  Rhiannon struck out the first batter, and the next two grounded out to short and third.  The Aces were 3-up-3-down in the top of the 2nd.  In the bottom of the 2nd, GCX had one hit after two outs, but the runner was left stranded.  Lindsey hit a single on one out in the 3rd, and Megan walked.  However, both runners were stranded on a line drive to short and a strike out.  GCX was 3-up-3-down in the bottom of the 3rd, and the Aces were 3-up-3-down in the top of the 4th.  Rhiannon walked one in the bottom of the 4th, but the runner was left stranded.  Stephanie led off with a single in the 5th.  Amber followed with a single.  However, an infield fly and two strike outs left both stranded.  After one out in the bottom of the 5th, Rhiannon walked one.  The runner advanced to 2nd on a ground out.  The next runner hit a single to left field, and Lana Jo threw to the plate to keep the run from scoring.  The runner headed back to 3rd, but the ball got past Kelsea at the plate.  As Kelsea went after the ball, the runner headed home.  Kelsea saw she had to cover the plate, and Rhiannon went after the ball.  Rhiannon quickly flipped the ball to Kelsea, who tagged the runner for the final out!

Bracket 5 - Championship Game vs Young Guns Red.  Aces won 1-0.
The Aces were home team this time, with a different umpire behind the plate.   Sarah pitched for the Aces.  The Young Guns had three ground outs in the first -- two to 3rd and one to short.  After two ground outs for the Aces in the bottom of the 1st, Lindsey walked and stole 2nd.  Megan advanced Lindsey to 3rd with a single.  Kesha hit a grounder to short, but the ball was dropped at 1st allowing Lindsey to score.  Two were left stranded on a strike out.  The Young Guns had a runner reach on an error in the 2nd, but the Aces got the lead runner on a fielder's choice, and one was left stranded.  The Aces were 3-up-3-down in the bottom of the 2nd.  The Young Guns led off with a single in the top of the 3rd.  The next runner reached on a fielding error.  It looked like trouble, with two runners on and no outs.  However, the runners were left stranded on 1st & 2nd as Megan at catcher caught two foul pop-ups in a row, and Stephanie caught a fly ball to center.  In the bottom of the 3rd, Amber led off with a single, and advanced on a sac bunt by Sarah.  A fielder's choice and a strike out left one stranded.  The Young Guns had one batter reach on an  error in the 4th, but the runner was left stranded.  In the bottom of the 4th, Kesha led off with a single.  Kendall hit into a fielder's choice, but Kesha was safe at 2nd.  The runners advanced on a ground out, but both were left stranded on another ground out.  In the top of the 5th, the Young Guns singled, and the runner advanced on a sac bunt.  A fielder's choice held the runner at 2nd.  A sac bunt advanced both runners, but a fly out to right ended the game!

Bracket 6 - If Game vs Young Guns Red.  Aces lost 0-1.
In the final game, the Aces were home team with Rhiannon pitching.  After a battle at the plate and several foul balls, Rhiannon walked the first batter.  The next two batters grounded out as the runner advanced to 3rd.  A fielding error on what should have been an easy 3rd out allowed the runner to score.  The Aces were 3-up-3-down in the first two innings.  In the 2nd, the Young Guns led off with a hit, but the runner was left stranded.  In the 3rd, the Young Guns got two hits on one out, but both runners were left stranded after a ground out and a strike out.  Kendall led off with a single in the bottom of the 3rd for the Aces only hit, but was left stranded.  The Young Guns had one hit in the 4th, but the runner was left stranded.  The Aces were again 3-up-3-down in the bottom of the 4th, as they just couldn't get the bats going.  The one run in the first turned out to be the only scoring in the game, just like last game.
