After agreeing to pool games on Friday night so we didn't have to show up early on Saturday, we ended up having to play Saturday morning anyway. Should've known better! The girls won their first two bracket games, beating the Texas Blitz and the Texas Energy. In the next bracket game, the girls had an error-plagued 1st inning against the Katy Heat that allowed the Heat to score 3 unearned runs. That sent the Aces to the loser's bracket. They played better against the Katy Express, but the Express hit the ball better and scored more runs. I guess the good news was, we didn't have to go back to Katy early Sunday morning and not play like the rest of the 18U teams! The top four teams order of finish was based on who gave up first or a coin flip or something, due to weather problems.
