Texas Aces Gold made another great showing, finished undefeated in pool play, 4th place overall in bracket. The 43' pitching distance didn't seem to affect the pitchers, as Rhiannon pitched two no-hit shutouts and allowed only 2 earned runs over 5 games, and Beth pitched two 2-hit games, and allowed only 4 earned runs over 4 games. (Morgan missed the tournament due to High School volleyball playoffs.) Rhiannon led the batting with 8 hits and a .571 avg, and Kesha followed with 7 hits and 3 RBIs. Jenna & Lindsey tied with 4 RBIs each, and Stephanie & Kelsea also had 3 RBIs apiece. Rhi, Kelsea, and Jenna hit triples, while Lauren P. & Lindsey had two doubles each. Stephanie & Ashley also had doubles. Beth only had 4 at bats, as we saved her for pitching, but she batted 500. Amber led in on base percentage by inducing the most errors by the other team. Brytish led in successful sac bunts, and Lauren M. led in walks.
