The Texas Aces 12s volleyball team has been formed for the 2004-2005 season.
The team is made up of girls from Sugar Land, Richmond, and Pearland.
The team will be coached by Danny Emery.

Tournament Results

Scrimmage on Wednesday, December 1st
Great job at the scrimmage against the Pearland Juniors! For our first time playing in a real game situation, everyone did great. We won the first two games, and got to 15 first in the 3rd game. We decided to continue to 25 after that and we lost our focus and let the Pearland Jrs. girls get ahead. Everyone keep working on their serves and passes, and we'll do great in our first tournament! A big thanks to Pearland Juniors for inviting us.

WSC Classic #1, Saturday, December 4th
Not too bad for our first tournament. We were serving well in the first couple of matches. After winning the first two matches, we struggled a little in the next match and lost our momentum, but we hung in there and played a close game in both matches that we lost. We are starting to pass the ball better and set up the hitters, and we got some kills, and even our middle blockers got some blocks! We finished 3rd in our 6 team pool, which put us tied for 5th place overall out of 11 teams. Lets do even better next time!

This had to be the worst organized tournament ever! After a team dropped from our pool,
we ended up with a 3-team format playing 3-out-of-5 games for only 20 points.
However, all the other pools with 4 teams were playing 3 games no matter what.
Of course we finished way early! After finishing our pool matches
at around 9:45 am, we had to ref the final match which ended by 10:45. Then we
had to wait around for another 4 (FOUR) hours for bracket to start!
That was absolutely insane! We made it through the first playoff game, but
just had lost focus by the time we got to the 2nd game. We ended up tied for
5th place out of 22 teams.

Undefeated through pool play and two rounds of play-offs!
We missed several players due to other sports. Played first two
matches with only 6 players, and final matches and playoffs with 7.
All the girls there really stepped up and played hard all afternoon!
