Texas Aces Go Undefeated to Earn Berth to AFA Nationals

The Aces played 6 back-to-back games on Saturday, and accomplished their goal of qualifying for AFA Nationals on the first try.  Because two berths were available from the qualifier, the winner of the winners bracket received a berth and did not have to play out the rest of the tournament.  So the big prize was not having to go back and play in the cold weather on Sunday!  Lauren Preston led the team in batting, going 6-10 with 5 RBI's.  Megan Yanda followed with a 0.538 avg. over 6 games as she went 7-13.   The pitchers split duties, with each going 2-0.  Beth had no runs scored against her, while Rhi and Jojo each allowed 1 earned run.  Good way to end the fall season!
